The Train Trip from Brussels to Luxembourg: The Best Scenic Route! 

Travelling by train from Brussels to Luxembourg is an exciting experience, with plenty of sights to see, towns to explore, and lots of attractions! The journey will take you through some of the most iconic landmarks of Belgium and Luxembourg, and will take approximately three hours. 

The main station you'll be departing from in Brussels is Bruxellex-Central, and the final station you'll be arriving at in Luxembourg is Luxembourg Central Station. You'll be travelling about 220 km during your journey, and will pass through some important cities and towns such as Namur, Arlon, and Virton. Along the way, you'll get to experience some of Belgium's most iconic sights like Belgian waffles, Belgian beer, and Belgian chocolate. 

When you arrive at either station, you may be lucky enough to spot some of the most iconic architecture that Brussels or Luxembourg have to offer. In Brussels, visitors may come across attractions such as the Atomium, the Grand Place, and St. Michael's Cathedral. At Luxembourg Central Station, visitors may take in views of the historic Gëlle Fra Monument, the National Museum of History and Art, and the underground Caves of St. Paul.

Notre-Dame Cathedral: This intricate Gothic-style cathedral is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the most well-known and well-preserved religious building in Luxembourg, and has been standing since 1613. Entrance is free, and a guided tour can be booked in advance for a €6 fee. 

Pattiserie Levallois: Visiting Luxembourg is not complete without sampling some of the country’s delicious pastries. Pattiserie Levallois is a must-visit for anyone who’s looking to taste some of the best pastries in the city. From the traditional kugelhopfs to the decadent éclairs, there’s something for everyone here. 

Alzette Valley: The Alzette Valley is a nature reserve located in the south of Luxembourg and is the perfect spot for a day trip. Luxembourg City History Museum: Located in the heart of the city, the museum provides an in-depth insight into the history and culture of Luxembourg.
